This is a value Ticket that includes a 1-day pass for the Hiroden Bus Sandankyo Line and three local coupons (500 yen each) that can be used in the Sandankyo Main Entrance area.

Exchange Location: LOUPE (Sandankyo Cafe & Visitor Center)

At the local coupon exchange location (LOUPE), please present your ticket to receive both the local coupons (valid at participating stores) and a special gift for the 100th anniversary of Sandankyo’s scenic designation.

Validity: Only on the day of use under the “Sandankyo Free Plan Ticket”

Coupon exchange hours: 9:30 – 10:00 (If coupons are not exchanged within this time, the right to receive them will be forfeited.)

Non-refundable: Coupons cannot be refunded. If not used on the day of exchange, the right will be forfeited.

If all restaurants that accept the local coupon are closed, a bento lunch (1,000 yen) can be ordered at the Sandankyo ticket exchange location (LOUPE). In case of severe weather or river flooding due to rain, the Kurobuchiso (restaurant and ferry) coupon-accepting facility will be closed.

Local coupons are valid only on the date of exchange and are non-refundable.

Located at the main entrance of Sandankyo, a Special Place of Scenic Beauty designated by the Japanese government, this Visitor Center introduces the nature and history of Sandankyo as well as the Otagawa River system.

Inside, you can find exhibits featuring live fish and amphibians native to the Otagawa River, displays of insect specimens and taxidermy, as well as information on the mosses of Sandankyo and seasonal flowers.

Kurobuchi Lodge (Kurobuchi boat rides)

A dining spot located just across the river by boat. Here you can enjoy dishes such as udon noodles and salt-grilled yamame trout while taking in the scenery of Kurobuchi, one of the five great scenic highlights of Sandankyo.

Be sure to also enjoy the beautiful views from the boat ride itself.

Panda Chan Coaster

Ai Nakahara, a graduate student at Hiroshima University researching giant salamanders, has created a coaster to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Sandankyo’s designation as a scenic spot. The coaster will be given as a gift to those who purchase a ticket.

A portion of the proceeds from this project will be used to support environmental conservation activities in Sandankyo.

  • Tickets expire 24 hours after first use.
  • Tickets purchased together cannot be refunded separately.
  • Refunds must follow the policies of the purchase platform.
  • No refunds are available once a ticket has been activated.
  • A mobile network connection is required to use the ticket.
  • Local coupons are valid only on the date of ticket activation.
    (Example: If you activate your ticket on Oct. 1, the exchange coupon must also be used on Oct. 1. The coupon validity is only for that same day.)
