The Journey
Prepare
Meet your Sendatsu (Yamabushi guide) and prepare for the journey
ahead. Change into traditional training attire, learn the customs and
etiquette of Shugendo, and leave behind the distractions of everyday
life before stepping onto the sacred paths of Mt. Misen with a clear
and open mind.
Ascend
Follow ancient forest trails to hidden places of worship, including
sacred shrines and temples where Yamabushi have trained for
centuries. Through silent walking, mountain practices, prayer, and
quiet reflection, experience a living spiritual tradition in the natural
surroundings that have shaped it for generations.
Reflect
Take time to pause and reflect on the day’s experiences. As you
unwind alongside your guide, consider the insights gained through
